Sy Stokes, Ph.D.

Sy Stokes, Ph.D., is the Lead Consultant and Organizational Strategist for the Racial Equity Data Institute (REDI), and a non-profit executive who leads global studies focused on improving the workplace experiences for diverse populations across the Americas, APAC, and EMEA regions. He works closely with senior executives and practitioners from companies across the world to develop actionable and sustainable solutions for achieving their organizational DEI goals. He was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow for the National Center for Institutional Diversity, and Faculty Lecturer and DEI Advisor for the Rackham Graduate School of Education at the University of Michigan. Over the past decade, he has transformed his research into praxis by delivering over 200 keynote speeches and guest lectures for various institutions, including the White House Summit on Educational Excellence for African Americans (during the Obama administration), Stop AAPI Hate, and numerous Fortune 500 companies. He received his B.A. in African American Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA); Master’s in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn); and Ph.D. in Education from the University of Southern California (USC).
