Sally Gibney, MA
Sally Gibney has been at the Center since 2013 and is a Senior Project Manager. In her current role, Sally supports the development of the Council on Addressing Racism in the Early Years (CARE), an expert council of researchers, practitioners, community advocates, and policy experts to analyze, synthesize, and communicate what the current evidence tells us about the effects of racism on children’s everyday lives. She is particularly focused on fundraising approaches, relationship management, and working with organizations that help ensure parent and community voices are included at all levels of the conversation. Sally’s passion is centering community leadership in everything we do at the Center.
Prior to working on CARE, Sally provided program strategy leadership to catalyze innovative practice change in pediatrics. She also contributed to the Center’s strategy for engaging key stakeholders in the global early childhood development field, particularly around the science of play, and was the host of the Center’s podcast, The Brain Architects. Sally has experience as a research assistant in neuropsychology labs and science museums, and as an educator working with young children, both domestically and internationally. Sally holds an MA in child development from Tufts University and a BA in psychology from Boston University.
