Rebecca Hansen has served as the Center on the Developing Child’s Director of Communications since April 2022. Rebecca leads the Center’s efforts to develop communications strategies that deliver compelling, science-based content that can break through the noise and offer clear, solution-oriented information to policymakers and other changemakers working across a variety of sectors to create healthy developmental environments for children and their caregivers. Together with the Center’s talented communications team, she oversees the implementation of these strategies to reach target audiences across the Center’s widely respected global platform.

Rebecca brings to this work more than 15 years of experience in the science communications realm. She holds a BA in English and a minor in Spanish from the University of Virginia and an MFA in creative writing from Emerson College.
