Priscila Pumarada Urrutia is Chief of Staff at the Center on the Developing Child. She provides high-level thought partnership and support to the Center’s Executive Team, while developing and driving key strategic initiatives that advance the Center’s mission. Priscila operates at both a tactical and strategic level, overseeing the design and implementation of critical initiatives in service of the Center’s sustainability. Priscila joined the Center in 2016, as it aligned with her commitment to and pursuit of social justice, especially for those most marginalized.

Priscila has served in several capacities at the Center. Before stepping into the Chief of Staff position, she was the Assistant Director of Innovation Partnerships and Business Development, a role responsible for informing the direction and implementation of the Center’s partnership strategy, in addition to serving as lead relationship manager for the Center’s Latin American partnerships and collaborative engagements. Prior to joining the Center, Priscila worked at several education-focused nonprofits across the United States and Puerto Rico, and, early in her career, she was a Peace Corps volunteer in Nicaragua. Priscila holds an MEd in education policy and management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a BS in psychology from Saint Joseph University.
