Corey Zimmerman is Deputy Director, Chief Engagement and Partnerships Officer at the Center on the Developing Child. As Deputy Director, Corey is a core member of the Senior Leadership Team and collaborates with the Co-Executive Directors on overall oversight and management of the Center. As Chief Engagement and Partnerships Officer, she is responsible for developing the Center’s strategy for connecting the science to key audiences on timely issues and building the partnerships to support this. She also oversees the team that develops and executes a range of interactive offerings. Corey brings to this work the accumulated wisdom gained over twenty plus years of experience transforming the conditions and environments that shape the lives of young children and their families. Prior to coming to the Center, Corey held senior roles in state government, philanthropy, and direct service. She earned an Ed.M. in Human Development and Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. in Public Policy Analysis from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. When not on a zoom call, she is most likely to be found on the sidelines of a soccer field cheering on her two sons or sitting in the sunshine reading a great book.
