Washington state is increasingly using current science to guide its policies and services for children and families. This story features the Center’s Frontiers of Innovation [1] initiative, which is led in Washington by the Department of Early Learning and combines the science of brain development with advances in the social and behavioral sciences to design and test new programs for at-risk children.
